George "Dubya" continues to surround himself with those of questionable moral character. Perhaps it's not so bad for Bush that teens aren't looking to the Republicans for behavior models.  Miami's Fox 7 television news reported that GOP hottie George P. Bush, the Texas governor's cousin and "secret weapon" for rounding up young and Latino voters, has a secret of his own.   In 1994, the young Bush was busted for burglary and criminal mischief while he was in Florida on a winter break from Rice University.   According to the police report, Bush was accused of breaking into the home of an ex-girlfriend.   Her family declined to pursue the case.    Is this a trend?  

Neo-Nazi's and KKK leaders are secretly working behind the scenes in his presidential administration, as we predicted before he was (elected?).  We know he associates himself with leaders of White Citizens Councils (code word for KKK type of groups).

FROM THE BUSH WATCH:  The Crossfire transcript of Friday October 20th 2000, included Larry Flynt's comments on internet pornography but not his Bush abortion charges (see below).  They were removed from the CNN site, along with all other 10/13/00 transcripts. Meanwhile, a Bush watcher reported that the video of the program included Flynt's charges about a Bush abortion on Saturday, but the Flynt charges about a Bush abortion were later edited out. The video has since been removed from the site. American Politics Journal reported that it has a copy of the original Crossfire video with Larry Flynt's charges that George W. Bush "was involved" in an early 70's abortion. --Politex, 10/23/00

KGO-AM talk show host Bernie Ward summarized his Tuesday half-hour on-air phone discussion with Larry Flynt about Flynt's accusations that George W. Bush was "involved in" an abortion in 1970 as follows: Flynt "says that in 1970 Bush's father was running for the Senate against Lloyd Bentsen....that younger Bush was working for daddy...that bush got a woman pregnant and that she got an abortion in a Houston hospital I believe ...it could have been in Dallas...Flynt says he knows the name of the woman and his investigators have spoken to her...she would not say anything bad about George Bush but Flynt definitively said that she didn't deny having the abortion...Flynt says that he has affidavits from four of her friends confirming that she had the abortion....he says he has another affidavit from the girl friend of daddy Bush's campaign manager...and that she accompanied the woman to the hospital to have the abortion....he says that he knows the name of the doctor who performed the abortion......"

" Shortly after [Larry Flynt's] appearance, CNN produced an edited transcript and put it on its website...the edited version left out Flynt's comments [about an abortion in 1970 that he claims George W. Bush was "involved in"]...when it became obvious that it was edited CNN simply took the whole transcript off of their website...CNN has a number of questions to answer...has it ever done this before?..why did it do it in this case?...what was it afraid of and what kinds of journalistic standards led to this decision?....

A listener to the talk show said Bernie Ward " spent the entire 3 hours [this evening] discussing and taking calls about Larry Flynt and his story. Which then turned into a big discussion on CNN and its censorship of the news. Are they supporting Bush, and why did they edit and then delete the transcripts of Larry Flynt on Crossfire?... A fellow called to say he called CNN this afternoon and the lady said they had received 100,000 calls on "why did they delete the transcripts?"

She really had no answer, it was a corporate decision. Two other fellows called Bernie and they had just called CNN.  Only to have a lady tell the first fellow that she didn't want to be bothered by that trash when he tried to register his complaint about the deleted transcript.   She said call the news dept. tomorrow.  The other fellow said he called and she said don't you people have anything better to do with your damn time.  Now isn't that a lovely corporate image for CNN?... Bernie thinks the bigger issue is CNN's journalist credibility.  I would have to agree, it certainly makes one wonder (like we haven't already) just how much do they edit the news and why?

Bernie is urging everyone to continue to call CNN and also to email Howard Kurtz and others and ask them why is there censorship on CNN. If CNN has gotten 100,000 phone calls, imagine how many emails they have gotten??!! Probably twice as many." 10/25/00

Boston Globe - 11/1/2000 - Senator Bob Kerrey, a Nebraska Democrat who won the Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam, expressed disgust yesterday at evidence that George W. Bush sidestepped National Guard duty for months in 1972 and 1973, a lapse that Kerrey said amounts to Bush being AWOL - absent without leave!

''It upsets me,'' Kerrey said in an interview, ''when someone says, `Vote for me, I was in the military,' when in fact he got into the military in order to avoid serving in the military, to avoid service that might have taken him into the war. And then he didn't even show up for duty!!!''

Bush, Kerrey said in an interview, ''needs to explain where he was when he was supposed to be fulfilling his military obligation.  If he is elected president, how will he be able to deal as commander in chief with someone who goes AWOL, when he did the same thing?''

Kerrey was reacting to a Globe article, published yesterday, that cited evidence that Bush, as a Texas Air National Guard pilot in 1972, stopped flying after 22 months with his unit. Then, during a six-month stay in Alabama, Bush failed to report for required Guard drills. And six months after he returned to his home in Houston, his superior officers wrote that they had not seen him at his Houston air base for the previous year!  Shortly after that, Bush was given an early discharge!

Neither Gore nor officials in his campaign would comment publicly on the issue.

Kerrey, who is not seeking reelection, said he called the Globe of his own volition, and in expressing his anger at Bush's service record referred twice to Clinton as a ''draft dodger.''

But, referring to Bush's attacks on Gore's character, Kerrey said the Texas governor has a moral obligation of his own to search his conscience and answer questions about where he was when he was supposed to be attending National Guard training.

''For someone who wants to be commander in chief, this stinks,'' Kerrey declared. ''I can understand if he forgot a weekend. But 18 months!!?''
