WITCHCRAFT TODAY
With a Foreword by Anthropologist Margaret Murray
and Introduction by Modern Wiccan High Priest, Dr. Raymond Buckland

This book was originally published 1954, shortly after the repeal (in 1951) of the final law against Witchcraft in England. Gardner traces the origins of the Craft and describes the activities of contemporary covens in England. It is the first book about Witchcraft to be written by an avowed Witch. It caused an enormous controversy in its day and is still the subject of heated debate by Craft people, anthropologists and historians.

Gerald Brosseau Gardner (1884-1964), "The Grand Old Man of Witchcraft" is universally credited with being the father of the modem witchcraft revival. He was also the founder of the Museum of Magic and Witchcraft, formerly on the Isle of Man.

[This book] belongs on the bookshelf of every Witch and every person ... interested in the whole vast field of the occult. Raymond Buckland, Ph.D.

If Gardner published his books without permission from his High Priestess there are thousands today who can be grateful that he did. Dr. Leo Louis Martello
