A Grimoire of Shadows
This
book was designed for the beginner, and makes no assumptions as to any previousI would also highly recommend A Grimoire of Shadows for it's magickal
training section. All Witches no matter how long they have been practicing,
should pick this book up and try to complete the magickal training. "A Grimoire
of Shadows" gets the message across that the Craft requires discipline, learning
and patience. This is a fact that most beginning Craft books gloss over. Those
books tend to concentrate on a "find your own path" philosophy which disregards
needed training in self-discipline. Within these pages you will find many great
rituals and suggestions for your craft practice. This book is a good
stepping-stone for the novice in their search for a magickal path.

Ed
Fitch and others published a series of rituals in a newsletter titled "The
Crystal Well" in the early seventies. This newsletter was instrumental in
causing a great interest in Paganism and Wicca/Witchcraft. Over the years
Ed Fitch placed most of the rituals in the public domain. Here some are
available in their original form. This book has very beautiful illustrations,
and carries rituals for a multitude of occasions. Solitary eclectic
practitioners will find it easy to integrate these rituals into their own
routines. But, others may find them to be a bit insufficient for what
might be required. However, this book is an excellent place to start for a
beginner, giving a good idea as to how one would create a ritual, as well as
learning a few basic things about the casting of the circle, quarters, etc
