TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS



THIS SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

More speakers are coming but have not sent us their workshop description yet.  A final schedule will be available at the gathering.


THURSDAY - MAY 31, 2007


BEGINNING OF DAY THOUGHTS: Our Gathering promotes peace between all peoples.  Go quietly and peacefully in the midst of turmoil and everyday tensions.  Forget for the moment all your troubles and concerns.  Open yourself to the light of understanding.

There will be children's events every day.  Please check the schedule board at the registration tent for time and place.

"Lucidan" and "Kenny Klein" will be playing at various times during the day.

The Workshop Locations are all in the area known as the "Unicorn Grove"You will be issued a map when you arrive, which will identify the different camping areas, workshops, etc.

The History of Modern Paganism: How did the religions we practice today take form? Where did it come from? Do we do the same rituals as ancient Witches dancing the ancient bonfires? This highly informative, slightly opinionated lecture explores the history of Paganism, from its ancient roots to modern practice. Learn why 1951 and 1979 were very good years for Pagans, and why you might want to have shaken hands with Alex Sanders.

Elemental Spirits - What are they and how to communicate with them:  This is a wonderful workshop on contacting elemental spirits and using them in your rituals and visualizations.

The Celtic Tradition as taught by Gwen Thompson - an Introduction: Lady Rhiannon is initiated in the line of Lady Gwen Thompson who published "The Long Version of the Wiccan Rede" in the Green Egg, in 1975.

Storytelling with the Tarot (1 hour 30 minutes)

Learn some fantastic techniques for unearthing the stories beneath the cards and relating those stories in a clear and effective manner. We'll read a card, find relationships between cards, and tell stories using multi-card spreads. This is a Tarot class AND a creative writing class, so bring your favorite Tarot and/or Oracle deck, a notebook, and a comfy pen.

This class uses modern
imagery to connect Magick with the meaning and imagery
of the runes.  This opens up access to the realms of Rune Magick knowledge and personal usage by those attending the class.

Totem Animals and Pagan Animal Lore: In Wicca and European Paganism, many Gods and Goddesses are associated with animals, and even seen by humans in their animal appearance. How can we tap into this animal energy, and call upon these creatures to help us with trance work and to reveal their secrets to us? How does one choose a spirit animal? Kenny leads a workshop that is part lecture, part trance experience, guiding us to our spirit animal allies.

Shamanism I - Ayahuasca and the Master Plant Teachers - a basic introduction and overview of the different plant teachers and a in depth discussion on ayahuasca and how it has changed and influenced our faith and practices. He will touch on apprenticeship with the plant teachers, how one plant teacher helps you to learn the spirit of another, and bringing the ritual experience into daily life in a powerful and meaningful way. He will also be discussing the indigenous culture and practices from which Ayahuasca has come.

She devised this talk after her last visit with us because so many wanted to know about the early history of Alex and Maxine Sanders.

The Erotic World of Fairie: Sexuality In British Fairy Lore: How does folklore view the sexuality of the creatures we know as Fairies, Elves and Selkies? Kenny explores the erotic conduct of magical creatures, consorting with each other and with humans. Learn why certain creatures were to be avoided for their sexual whiles, and why it is best to stay away from the roses of Carter Hall. (PG rated)

Ritual will be Saturday Evening.   Please honor us by attending and wearing your ritual attire.  Circle will be cast, then opened for entrance.  Please take this time to meditate, calm yourself to enjoy the celebration of our rite.
